How often do you dip birds with permethrin 10? And how much to use? I've read 2 cap fulls to 3 gallons of water and also 2 oz. to 3 gallons of water ...

I dip my birds at least twice a year. More would probably be better. I usually don't really measure I just pour some in. I am sure others will have some better answers.

this is off the permethrin 10 instructions-
Poultry Mites, Northern Fowl Mites and Lice

Dilute 1.28 oz per gallon of water (1 part concentrate to 99 parts water) (0.10%)

Spray at the rate of 1 gal per 100 birds, with a fine mist. Spray roosts, walls and nests or cages.

so that would be around 4 oz's in 3 gallons

I use 1oz to 2.5 gallons of water and dipped every 2 weeks, but that wasn't enough because I still have a little damage. I will do it once a week next year.

Do y'all dip breeders too or just your show birds?

Hey, Shane, do you just put them right back in there pens when you finish or do you put them out in the yard to dry a bit first?

I have some that get enough sun so I put them back in their pen, the ones that don't get as much sun I put them in pens out in the sun.
