Wormed about 60 birds today by hand. I use safeguard goat wormer. It's a pain but when I'm done I know I'm good for awhile.

I use something similar Greg. It works for a long time. I do my birds twice a year no matter what.

I have a 3 inch straw that fits perfectly over the end of a plastic syringe. The straw lets me squirt the meds directly into the craw and past the windpipe. About a half a cc or ml.

Greg, I have been doing the same thing today. I used ivomec this time. But I do use the goat wormer also. I wormed and sprayed around 30 cockerels today. It was a good day. I enjoy working with the birds and I actually found a couple that had some potential.

Guys just remember that safeguard, ivomec, wazine, etc.... will only kill the mature worms. It will not kill the eggs. The lifecycle of a worm is 3 wks so reworm to break the cycle. If your only worming once every six months or so and have not problems with worms you likley din't have problems to begin with.

I've never had problems with worms but I do worm with Piperizine once a year. I worm and then give a second dose about 10 days later.
