the pet armor comes 3 small tubes to the pack, mix two tubes to 8.5 oz of 90% rubbing alchol. never have went full strenght, but if this mix is as good as frontline we'll save money

pet armor is 9.7% fipronil, as is frontline. i have even bought "termidor" which is 9.1% actually labelled for pest control , like for termites, ants. i spray the pens with termidor, around the chickenhouse, as well as my own house. keeps away mites, as well as those little ants that get on your countertops. mixed properly with waster, its harmless to pets and birds.

Frontline works! I don't have mites for months after I treat my birds. One or two drops below the vent is all you need...any more is a waste of expensive product. To get exact drops, I squirt the Frontline into an empty eyewash bottle and apply it.

Are the feather mites eliminated with the frontline also or do you need to dip or something different To eliminate them?

have a problem and am assuming mites. i have 4 b.b.reds and what seems like a month ago i noticed them constantly scratching their heads. they seem and act healthy in every way except the scratching. i have sprayed the pen with permethrin 10 and dipped them in the permethrin also and when that didnt seem to work i used the ivomec pour on and know i put plenty on them. also have put some ear mite drops in and around their ear thinking the slim chance ear mites. looked today and they are still scratching their heads. cant put anything on them just yet because only been a few days since the last round. any suggestions.

If I may add to a non website discussion. Frontline spray is at least 90% isopropyl alcohol. You can make frontline spray cheap. 2 tubes of the 89-132# generic friponil they sell at walmart(not the plus version) to 8.5oz of 90% or higher isopropyl alcohol(good quality rubbing alcohol) is the same mix as you pay $50+ for. You can mix a bottle up for less than $20.

I sure miss the old days and the Blackleaf 40(nicotine sulfate) we used back then. That would get it all cleared up quick. I can understand why they took it off the market. Got some on my hand and it really burned.
