Brooder heat source 4 weeks 1 day ago #19158

Anyone ever buy the gqf brooders units to heat their homemade brooders?

I need something besides light bulbs. Is it this one or the hanging heater?

I have built my own brooders and use them as a heat source. They work well in homemade brooders.

This is something I’ve been looking at improving on. Do y’all think it’s cheaper to build the brooder rather than buying? Any advantage or disadvantages?

Yes, this is something I am interested in too. The light bulbs I usually use are getting harder to find.

I have made many brooders over the years and used GQF heaters and also just light bulbs. Both work well for me but I don't think you can beat the GQF brooders. I have 4 and I also use the brooder paper. They are a snap to clean! I can clean and replace old dropping paper with new in about 3 minutes on all 4 brooders.
