If you get a male that has good color and type, but is just too crazy acting for the show pen - would you still use him in the breed pen and hope his sons act better than he does??

Because I know birds in the same family can act different. Some are tame while a brother bounces off the walls if you try to reach in and pick him up ...

It's been my experience that a wild bird should not be used in the breeding pen. Just like traits such as color and type, I think that wildness can be passed on too. I would only use such a bird if I didn't have any other options.
