Hey guys just looking for some good advice what are some of the thing you should cull for when breeding blues and splash and at what age is a good time to start culling thanks in advance

in the blue males the body should have a darker shade of lacing ,like in the breast, legs etc. the females should be laced all over. in the splash the lacing should be ghost like, not as dark as in the blue oe.

watch for that light color eye or red eye, it should be a good dark brown.

so many of the blues you see in the show room now are too dark. I start with the base color first, if you don't have the right color, nothing else matters!
Follow up with good lacing, not smutty or undefined. Blotches, rust, light eyes, white toes.
As far as splashes - not enough splash color or too much color. You can still use either for breeding if you have a particular goal in mind. I also cull splashes with a "white" background color, or any rust or gold showing up anywhere.

texbantam with this info, you should be able to do ok, all the replies cover most of what you need to know. like cliftonranch said the good base colcr is very important.

The laceing should also be even and not what is call dipping at the the bottom of the feather or thinner in some places then other.
