Bad News! Candled eggs last night and only 12 eggs were fertile? Hopefully we can get a good hatch out of these 12 eggs. With all of the rain I have been having a lot of humidity problems. We will see?

I have 2 forced air GQFs that I used for quail with about 90% hatch rate. I plan to use them for hatchers. Since I live between GQF and Mr Dickey in Millen I guess I am in the sweet spot. My job is located 2 miles from GQF and my son lives 20 miles from Dickey. I have just emailed with Mr Dickey and after the first of the year I will go to his place and pick up a 3 tray setting incubator. I will set in the Dickey and use the GQFs for hatching. Should fit my needs.

As for turners, I have always used them with no ill results. Biggest problem with Hova-bators is the environment. If in an area that temps fluctuate rapidly they cant keep up. That is why I use mine in an extra bedroom that I use for storage, and now is my hatching room. I keep mine close to 99.5 degrees. Mine are all forced air

I use mine this last season as a hatcher and it worked great. I was running around 80% and up on my hatch rate. They really do work well.

Thanks. I have not used mine for chickens in years, just quail. Hope I have as good of results as you.
