Now I've asked this question before and I just like to know why do some do it and some don't ! And if it's ok why are we all not doing it as a club ( CLUB) !!!! I've been told the ABA wouldn't but !!!! I did ask a the club I belong to about it and was told you can't really do that !! But I was also told that it was a western thing only !! What is it ?? And Is it fair to other clubs and other club members as a whole ? Points !! Just asking folks ??

Are you asking if jr should get points to count towards point totals ?

So your question is are the junior birds entered into the open shows totals for number of birds? If that is your question then No it should not be. The JR show is a completely different show. If the birds are not competing against each other then they should not be used in the totals.

Randal they put them in both shows open and Jr from the get go !! They are judged for Jr's and then judged in the open From what I'm told .. I'm not saying it's wrong I was just wondering why everyone's no doing it ?

Some shows here do it and some don't. They only count them if they are shown in the open .

Junior's are a separate show, APA/ABA numbers go on the reports. Open Show numbers on another report.
A JR. can show in both shows, open and JR, BUT NOT with the same bird, (coop-in rule)
I did see a JR at a show, pull his bird after JR judging, and put it in the open show, management encouraged the JR to do so, this was about 12 years ago. Coop-in, coop-out rule was not followed, at this show.

Now see that's what I was told Bob .. That the ABA rules and regulations would make that a problem !!

I think it's awesome they get to show in the open. My boy had 3rd place bb and 2-3 place black cockerel in the open this year against Andy. They were his birds he set up the brood pen and took care of them all year . We should always do what's best and most rewarding for the youth.

My son has shown in the open also .. Truth be known he got a starred win . are one of his birds did !! He's only 12 years old .. But now he also shows in the Jr show here .. I think both are great and important ! As a family he will show in both shows more and more often now but not with the same bird at the same show ..
